Meg Metcalf
Hello, and welcome to my blog!
My name is Meg Metcalf (They/Them), and as you may have guessed, I am both a feminist and a librarian. I am also a writer, artist, zinester, teacher, instructional designer, cyclist, crazy cat lady and devoted dog mom. In August of 2015 I moved to Washington, D.C. to begin my career as a Librarian and Women's, Gender, and LGBTQ+ Collection Specialist and Recommending Officer at the Library of Congress. I occasionally post professional musings, research, selfies, and other such miscellany on this blog. My research interests include: fostering inclusive library praxis, interdisciplinary research, feminist and critical pedagogies, diversity and outreach, zine librarianship, information literacy and instructional design. To learn more about what I've been up to lately, take a look at this recent interview in the Washington Blade. |
